Developed by the BBC, the BBC Learning English app is practical and easy to use. One of the most important features, in my opinion, is the amount of time people can spend using it. Users can find activities of different lengths, ranging from one to a maximum of six minutes. This means that learners have the opportunity to learn in a concrete, interesting and practical way.
The differentiation component offered by this application allows the user to decide which part to focus on. They are divided into three main categories:
• Daily practice: Here the user will find a series of five sub-sessions with a lot of content, usually focusing on a specific aspect. Depending on their interests, they can search and find detailed information on different topics, presented in an interesting and attractive way.
• Language skills: In this section, users will be able to find content that focuses on improving their pronunciation, grammar or vocabulary. So, if a user wants to focus on one of these three language skills, they will have to click on it and start working and practicing.
• Finally, the most important part of the application is called English for. This is where users will find and discover a lot of materials, tips and suggestions to help English teachers improve their teaching practice in a fun and practical way.
In conclusion, although it is currently possible to find an unlimited number of applications for learning English, I could say that BBC LEARNING ENGLISH is one of the most preferred by those who are truly dedicated to learning English, it looks like quite intuitive to those who are not familiarized with this type of apps.
